Once upon a time, when faced with a true love, Joker didn't choose to cherish it, but if we could turn back time and face the same choice, would the tragedy happen again? Five hundred years ago, Zixia Xian (Xu Jie'er) and Sun Wukong (Yuan Xiaochao) formed the wick of the divine lantern enshrined in front of the Buddha. One day, Zixia Xian and Sun Wukong accidentally burned a scroll of Buddhist scriptures, and Sun Wukong took the cruel punishment on her behalf. In the mortal world, Zixia Xian became a valiant female general, and Fu Kong was his loyal lieutenant who followed him closely to protect him. What they never expected was that Sun Wukong would become their rival - a military doctor in a rival army camp. A misplaced love affair ensues once again.

Yang-lu Chan es una persona muy famosa en Oriente, puesto que fue uno de los fundadores de una de las corrientes más famosas del tai chi, una especie de arte marcial mezclada con filosofía y en la que prima la salud del que lo practica y los movimientos lentos y armónicos. Yang-lu Chan tiene un bulto que sale de su frente, por lo que todo el mundo lo ve como un bicho raro y ser burlan de él. Por eso, decide irse a una aldea remota para conocer al maestro Chen. Su idea es que este maestro impida que el bulto crezca más. En la aldea, Yang-lu Chan sigue siendo marginado por todos los lugareños, que no confían en él debido al bulto que tiene en su frente. Esto es así hasta que una extraña máquina de vapor aparece y amenaza con destrozar la aldea, momento en que Yang puede ser el que salve la aldea.
