Una joven reportera, que casualmente está investigando la leyenda, cree que la novela no es una historia de ficción, sino un acontecimiento que sucedió en la realidad a manos de un grupo de alquimistas fundados por el joven doctor Victor Frankenstein. En 1817, lograron derrotar a la muerte y volvieron de entre los muertos. Mientras realiza entrevistas con los miembros del teatro, la reportera se enfrenta a los oscuros héroes de la novela, que ahora parecen estar más vivos que nunca. Su investigación la lleva a descubrir un universo de monstruos y finalmente a una revelación sobre el secreto del amor eterno, clave para derrotar a la muerte. Pero, ¿qué es real y qué es imaginario? ¿Quiénes son estos "actores"? ¿Por qué han venido justamente a su pueblo? E incluso, ¿quién es esta joven y misteriosa reportera?

In the street he meets a young boy, who lives there as a street urchin, at deaths door after a neo-fascists attack. The boy, alcohol addicted, hears the voice of Maria Callas, speaks with the dead diva, with the mother he misses. In overdose he dreams of the perfect world. "Red Maria" saves the boy and teaches him the "job". In order to survive they invade cafes, giving performances that talk for a new, political God, for the political mistake of God, for the end of the ideology
