Debido a sus escasos conocimientos de lucha reciben una paliza monumental. En su desolación, conocen a un gran maestro de lucha, el cual les enseña las artes del kung fu a cambio de su mantenimiento. Se producen multitud de situaciones cómicas en el aprendizaje de los dos alumnos, los cuales intentan con grandes sacrificios su aprendizaje. La moral de los alumnos se ve reforzada cuando el abuelo y la novia de uno de ellos, son cogidos por unos ladrones. Entonces entrenan duramente para vengarse de los asaltantes.
