Professor Kiu (Roy Chiao) is a mad scientist who developed mental disorders from grieving the death of his son. Kiu orders his assistants to kidnap men to his lab, located in a private container on a vessel, for experiments. Police inspector Uncle Wah (Cho Tat-wah) had sent his subordinates to gather evidence in the vessel, but failed to find any. Shek La-mai (Dean Shek), an acrobatic performer and a former commander of the Special Duties Unit is a single father of three children. One night during a performance with his protege, Lam Hong (Gary Young Lim), witnessed and intervened in a kidnapping incident by Kiu's henchmen, and the two became targets of Kiu. On the other hand, Uncle Wah discovers Shek's resemblance to a Japanese scientist named Toyota, who colluded with Kiu. Wah formulates a plan for Shek to act undercover as Toyota in order to gather evidence from Kiu's lab.

Screenplay
Disco jockey Piggy Chan, mechanic Sapi and cousin Hayden are good friends. They three form a trio-Lovebursters. Some day, Piggy met a girl Jane Yu and fell in love at first sight with her. He tears down all obstacles to win her heart but after that, he resumes his inclination to flirt around. On the other hand, Sapi and Piggy’s sister Mable are deeply in love. Piggy is very furious when he discovers their love affair. However. He finally decides not to intervene because Sapi has a fatal disease. With the mounting pressure from friends and relatives, Piggy realizes his true affection towards Jane but she rejects him. The Loverbusters then step in and salvage the couple’s relationship.

The Occupant is about a young woman (Sally Yeh) who is trying to write a book/thesis on chinese superstitions. So she arrives in HK and rents a really cheap apartment. In the meantime, she befriends Raymond Wong's shady salesman desperate for a little R&R and Chow Yun Fatt's cop. Well, her apartment is haunted by the spirit of a deceased singer, hence the cheap rent.
