Esta producción escrita por Zdenek Mahler y dirigida por el gran cineasta Juraj Herz, es interpretada por el niño prodigio del violín y el piano Jakub Trasak y por el joven actor austriaco Alexander Lutz. Filmada en ciudades como Salzburgo, Viena y Praga, entre otras más de 70 localizaciones, con más de 3.500 extras en donde se utilizaron más de 750 trajes y dónde la música fue interpretada con instrumentos históricos bajo la interpretación de la "Orquesta Académica de Viena".

Antonio Salieri es el músico más destacado de la corte del Emperador José II de Austria. Entregado completamente a la música, le promete a Dios humildad y castidad si, a cambio, conserva sus extraordinarias dotes musicales. Pero, después de la llegada a la corte de un joven llamado Wolfang Amadeus Mozart, Salieri queda relegado a un segundo plano. A docudrama about four weeks in the life of famous Czech composer Antonin Dvorak. The drama - filled with many of Dvorak's compositions - begins when the composer suddenly decides to cut a concert in London and return home. While on the train, flashbacks reveal his relationship to his wife Anna and her sister Josefina. Both women gave him inspiration, yet Dvorak is clearly troubled in some way as musical excerpts come and go in his creative mind.
