El joven conde Frederick, mientras caza, conoce a Lucy, la hija de Masone, un guardabosques en la finca de su padre. Así nace un tierno romance. Luego, mientras Lucy mece la cuna de su bebé, fruto de su amor por el conde, Frederick confiesa lo sucedido a su padre y le pide permiso para casarse, pero el orgulloso anciano noble se niega a permitir que su hijo se case con alguien que no es de su escala social y lo envía a Francia, despidiendo luego al padre de Lucy de su propiedad.

Tonino feels sorry, so he brings the girl all his toys and helps the prisoner escape.
