Fourteen-year old student Ayumi has leukemia and starts losing hair. She becomes depressed but receives overwhelming support from her classmates when they all shave their heads for her.

While Kazuo Tanaka eagerly practices his greetings for the big wedding the next day, his first as a matchmaker, his second daughter Hitomi prepares for her travels with her secret lover. The eldest daughter Reiko, nine months pregnant, has left her cheating husband to enter a frenzied Tanaka household. On the wedding day, Kazuo learns his father has passed away. Afraid of ruining the wedding, he asks Reiko and Hitomi to deal with the crisis. Rushing home after the ceremony, Kazuo and Kanako are faced with various problems.
Screenplay
Just before entering Seishuu High School, track star Katsuya Niimi and judo champion Susumu Karasawa see a girl crying as the school loses a baseball game. The boys decide to join the team and improve it in order to make her smile. The girl turns out to be Yuri Nakao, daughter of the baseball coach, and they learn the baseball team will be shut down if it doesn't start winning. The series follows the three, as well as pitcher Eiji Kurahashi, as Niimi and Karasawa learn about baseball and what it means to be one of nine players on a team, as they work together through high school make it to Koushien.

Toma (Go Kato) is a son of a doctor in Takane, Yoshitomo Monzen. He was ordered by the sick federal lord and travel to Edo. It was said that Tsurunosuke, the man supposed to be the next federal lord, got a heavy disease, and the order aimed to make sure if it is true or not. On his way to Edo, Toma gave a hand to Kiku (Mayumi Okamura) who had a stomachache. However, she seemed to be in big trouble, and there were many warriors on the roads… This is the remade drama of “Wakasamamono” written by a popular novelist Tatsuji Satte. Go Kato as Dr. Waka brandishes a sword to come up against the plot of Karo, related to the inheritance of Takane Han.

El Gato con Botas se encuentra en el Lejano Oeste donde se le conoce como Bill. Sigue huyendo de sus tres incansables perseguidores, viajando en diligencia hacia Go Go Town junto a su nuevo compañero Jimmy, un muchacho despreocupado y no demasiado listo, cuya valentía brilla por su ausencia. En esa misma diligencia viaja también Annie, una muchacha que regresa a Go Go Town para reencontrarse con su padre tras finalizar sus estudios. Sin embargo según llegan al pueblo Annie descubre que su padre acaba de ser asesinado, sujetando en su mano una moneda mexicana de plata, y nadie se atreve a explicarle por qué. Ha sido víctima de los secuaces de un siniestro y avaricioso personaje que tiene mucho que ocultar e intenta por todos los medios que Annie deje la ciudad. Bill insiste en que se quede y tanto él como unos agradecidos ratones indios le ofrecen su ayuda para desvelar el misterio, mientras que el desganado Jimmy no hace más que remolonear.
