Su filmación se inicia en el año 1966 al sur de la ciudad de Bogotá en un barrio llamado “Tunjuelito” donde existían grandes haciendas cuyos dueños arrendaban sus tierras para la producción artesanal de ladrillos. Colombia viene de vivir la violencia del año 48 y grandes masas de población campesina migran a las ciudades, refugiándose en estas zonas sub-urbanas.
