Qlimax 2016 Rise of the Celestials The theme Because of the size of GelreDome, the essence of Qlimax stands out even more. The presence of something greater, that can’t immediately be labeled as ‘a sovereignty’, but as something more than we can observe with modern science, is of great importance for the theme. ‘The Dark Side’, ‘Science & Religion’, ‘Immortal Essence’, ‘Rise of the Celestials’. This spiritual and often dark corner attempts to hold a mirror in front of you as a visitor and confront you, in order for you to open your eyes and add an extra layer to the event. Because of the presence of just one area with one stage, each and every visitor is submerged in the same story, that you all take home with you afterwards. This feeling of solidarity and understanding results in the preservation of the essence of Qlimax, while every edition enters a different chapter.

Qlimax is an annual event held by the Dutch entertainment enterprise, Q-dance. It is considered one of the leading hardstyle events on the calendar and a major attraction of Q-dance and contains some of the most sophisticated production and setup as well as sound system for any event.

Qlimax 2012 took place on the 24th of november 2012 in the Gelredome, Arnhem. The event is Q-Dance's most popular event, that draws around 30.000 visitors each year from all around the world.

For the last 10 years, Q-dance has been entertaining fans from the harder styles in dance music with high quality productions. Some parties have fared better than others; some have been held indoors, some outdoors, sometimes smaller, and most of them have been really big with all of them incorporating a wonderful atmosphere. With over 300 parties and more than 1.5 million participants, we have aptly, named our 10-year anniversary: ‘’de Q-dance Feestfabriek - the Q-dance Party Factory’’. For the first time in 10 years, we give the visitor a glance into our party-kitchen and this year we are cooking up a storm!
