Jeanette (Jane Birkin), una peluquera inglesa en París, está cansada y aburrida de su relación con Pierre Vidal (Pierre Richard), un banquero que trabaja frente a la peluquería donde ella trabaja, y está dispuesta a dejarle ya mismo.
