When We Are Married
Producer
Three married couples discover that, through a legal technicality, they are, in fact, not actually married in the eyes of the law. This was the third version broadcast by the BBC of this J.B. Priestley play. It was aired live but as the BBC very rarely recorded live transmissions prior to 1953, this programme is lost.

The Vicar of Bray
Tim Connor
The Vicar of Bray is a satirical description of an individual fundamentally changing his principles to remain in ecclesiastical office as external requirements change around him. The religious upheavals in England from 1533 to 1559 and from 1633 to 1715 made it almost impossible for any individual to comply with the successive religious requirements of the state.
The House of the Spaniard
McNail

Ourselves Alone
The Publican
One of the most significant films ever made about the Troubles in Ireland, a powerful story of love and conflicting loyalties set against the battle for Ireland's independence.
