Durante la Primera Guerra Mundial, se desarrolla una historia de amor entre Józek, Ola y Tadek. Józek es un desertor del ejército zarista que se une a la emergente Legión Polaca, Ola es un agente de inteligencia de la Primera Brigada y Tadek es miembro del Equipo de Tiro. Los tres no vacilan en combatir, sabiendo que solo pueden realizar sus sueños en una Polonia libre. La película se centra en el viaje de la Legión desde 1914 hasta 1916, desde la salida de Oleandry hasta la Batalla de Kosciuchnowka.
Screenstory
Basia and Marek have been on the run their whole lives. Along with their nine-year-old daughter Ula, they experience what it’s like to be an immigrant in Sweden. When a Swedish social worker visits their home, she witnesses Ula’s everyday reality, as seen from the perspective of the local culture. Ula is then taken away from her parents and placed in foster care. Will Basia and Marek stick together and fight for Ula? Will they succeed in rebuilding their bond and their family?
