Una misteriosa raza de monstruos conocidos como Oni ha reaparecido en el presente. Según cuenta la leyenda, estos fueron derrotados hace cientos de años y por ello no se sabe el porqué de su reaparición. Están en busca de una poderosa piedra que le permitirán reunir a los dos máximos líderes de los Oni. Momotaros y compañía deberán evitar que los Oni encuentren esa piedra sino será el final de todos, pero necesitarán de la ayuda de alguien más para acabar con estos malos.

On June 2, 2008, Toei announced on its various official websites that there would be a series of short five-minute internet movies that are spin-offs of Kamen Rider Kiva: King of the Demonic Castle. The featurettes are called Kamen Rider Backwards-Kiva: Queen of the Demonic Castle. In these shorts, Otoya and Yuri are brought into the present by Castle Doran when the mysterious Queen of the Legendorga is about to be revived. The shorts themselves are all zany misadventures of everyone in the Kiva cast.
A seeing-eye dog (Shiro) is granted one wish by his former owner. He chooses to become a human for a short time so he can find the girl who trained him as a puppy. While attempting to get to know her (as he runs along behind her and sniffs for her around town) he eventually falls in love with her.
