Terry Nation was a British television writer. He is perhaps most well-known for his contributions to the original 'Doctor Who' TV series, for which he created the 'Daleks', who would later become the Doctor's arch nemesis and are a recurring threat in the show until this day. His other works include scripts for the TV series' 'The Avengers' and 'MacGyver'.

54 years after its original BBC television broadcast, BBC Studios will premiere a new production of Mission to the Unknown, a missing Doctor Who episode that has been faithfully recreated by a team of students, graduates and staff of the University of Central Lancashire in the UK.
In the 1980’s US public television station New Jersey Network produced some groundbreaking documentaries about DOCTOR WHO following the programme’s huge success in America. Doctor Who – Then & Now was made in 1987. Presented by Eric Luskin and recorded in the NJN studios it features unique interviews with Terry Nation talking about the creation of the Daleks and Patrick Troughton discussing his portrayal of the Second Doctor.
