To their horror they learn that he has already been tried as a war criminal and has served but a few years for his crimes. They decide that they will "execute" him, drawing lots to determine which one will perform the act, without letting the others know who it is.

Story
Al fuerte de El Álamo, sitiado por las tropas del general Santa Anna, llega el teniente Lamar con un mensaje del general Huston, en el que se ordena a la guarnición resistir a toda costa. El comandante hace saber a los soldados que el que no esté dispuesto a resistir hasta el fin podrá marcharse con toda libertad. John Stroud aprovecha la ocasión para salir de la plaza sitiada.
