Lawrence Welk

"Mickey's 50" is a 90-minute special that aired on The Wonderful World of Disney on November 19, 1978. The special was made to commemorate the 50th birthday of Mickey Mouse and highlights many moments in his career.

A TV special aired on February 17, 1969 (the star’s birthday was February 14), featuring Benny’s long-established persona and several celebrity guest stars.

Walt Disney and Art Linkletter co-host a live celebration of Disneyland's 1959 expansion that consisted of the debuts of Matterhorn Bobsleds, the Disneyland-Alweg Monorail, and the Submarine Voyage, a project so massive that it was called "The Second Opening of Disneyland". Highlights include a mammoth, star-studded parade and the official launching of the Disneyland submarines by U.S. Navy officers. Among the guests are then-Vice-President Richard Nixon and family, Clint Eastwood, and Meredith Willson, who leads the Disneyland band in his own "76 Trombones." Sponsored by Kodak, the commercial spokespersons include Ozzie and Harriet Nelson.

A made-for-TV musical revue, compiled from soundies and film and TV performances by jazz greats from the 1930s to the 1950s.

15 minute musical short featuring Lawrence Welk and his Orchestra

This is an entry in Universal's "Name Band Musical" series of shorts. Welk and the band open with a medley including "Josephine", Stumbling", "Honey" and "Running Wild" and vocalist Betty Jane Pettit sings "No Can Do." Kenny Stevens does "Alone" while comedienne-singer Judy Clark offers her versions of "Playmates" and "I'm Nobody's Baby." The dance team of Jon and Inga Bergy is also in the mix.

A 10-minute short headlining the dance music of Lawrence Welk and His Orchestra, with emphasis on the accordion and an electric organ. Featured singers are Lois Best and Parnell Grina, with the band providing the music on "Bubbles in the Wine,", Welk's theme song; "Ain't She Sweet," "Linda Lonesome," "I Go For That" and the finale, "When Paw was Courtin' Maw."
