Alex vive en Inglaterrra, trabaja arreglando aparatos eléctricos en una empresa que no va bien económicamente, se acuesta con mujeres casadas y bebe alcohol como si no hubiera mañana. Su vida es un completo desastre hasta que un día, su tío Raymond le propone pagar todas sus deudas a cambio de irse a vivir al extranjero durante un año, en concreto, a Nueva Escocia. Una vez allí, el joven intenta buscar trabajo en la pequeña localidad en la que vive y descubre que tiene el don de curar a las personas, pero ni siquiera cree en su propia habilidad. En su lucha por comprender su nueva realidad, una adolescente con cáncer le mostrará el camino.

Trailer Park Boys: Don't Legalize It is the third film in the Trailer Park Boys franchise, and a sequel to Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day (2009). In the film, Ricky (Robb Wells), Julian (John Paul Tremblay) and Bubbles (Mike Smith) attempt a series of get-rich-quick schemes after being released from prison, but are again pursued by former Sunnyvale Trailer Park supervisor Jim Lahey (John Dunsworth).

In 1972, a historical ice hockey game series is arranged where the cream of Canadian's professional star players of the National Hockey League against the best of the Soviet Union. Although Canada and the USSR have faced off repeatedly on the amateur level before, most of Canada is smugly convinced that the Soviets will be no match for the pros. However, that assumption is forcefully shot down when Team Canada is soundly trounced in the first game by the skilled Soviet Union team. What follows is a bitter struggle as Team Canada fights to recover in a series that would change Canadian hockey's self-image and history forever.
