La historia gira en torno a Ryo quien al enterarse de que Yuri la mujer que amaba desaparece y al poco rato se entera de que falleció, pero antes de que ella muriera Yuri le dice que alguien exactamente igual a ella cómo quién dice un doppelganger Yuri le cuenta que puede y que su doble sea más guapa y más inteligente al final le dice que se encuentra en Hokkaido.

Erika Shinohara, una chica vanidosa de 16 años le habla a sus amigos sobre su vida amorosa, aunque en realidad no tiene novio. Va diciendo por ahí que un chico guapo de una foto es su novio, pero resulta que ese chico es un compañero de clase que se llama Kyouya Sata. Por desgracia, Sata, aunque parezca una persona agradable, es una persona cruel y malvada, que se aprovecha de la debilidad de Erika y la trata como si fuera su perro.

Yamashita Takako works in the food section of a department store. She pays frequent visits to a reputable local Chinese restaurant about opening an in-store branch. The owner of the restaurant, Wang Qingkuo from Shanghai, who does all the cooking by himself, gives Takako the brush-off. One day, however, Wang collapses due to overwork, and is left with partial paralysis. Hearing the rumor of the restaurant’s closure, Takako resigns from the department store and becomes an apprentice to Wang.

Tamaki is crawling along the sidewalk on crutches at a snail's pace, and stumbles into the young audiotypist after apparently having trouble with an ill-fitting shoe over her cast. After helping her back to her feet, Kazuko follows Tamaki back to her apartment, the two of them barely exchanging words. Once in Tamaki's room, Kazuko is dispatched on an errand to fetch some beer... Their game begins..
