Lazarus de Jesus is the adopted son of a wealthy lady from Lisbon, whom he calls Grandmother. It is she who introduces him to Godfather, a great businessman who takes him as his protégé, and Angelina, the woman Grandma wants him to marry. But Lazarus has other hidden interests, the most important of which is an obsessive fixation on female armpits. When he sees the violinist Maria Pia playing, Lazarus immediately falls in love and starts to live for her, which will precipitate an absolutely unpredictable ending.

El protagonista de la cinta es Ian, un profesor de orientación especial que llega a una prestigiosa clínica oftalmológica de Lisboa para dirigir una terapia. Uno de sus pacientes afectados por la ceguera es Eva, una joven que trata de esconder su minusvalía. Ian pone en práctica métodos que suscitan polémicas dentro del equipo de la clínica pero consigue ganarse la confianza de los pacientes.

Pedro, un joven ingeniero de caminos de 27 años que está destinado en una pequeña aldea del norte de Portugal, espera ansioso su traslado de vuelta a Lisboa. Justo cuando está a punto de regresar, recibe una carta de una multinacional en la que le ordenan que cierre la página web que ha creado, aduciendo una infracción en el nombre del dominio. Si no lo hace inmediatamente, la compañía amenaza con ponerle una demanda por 500.000 euros. Sólo hay un problema: la página está a nombre de la asociación del pueblo y sólo sus miembros pueden cerrar el sitio. Pero ahora los habitantes del pueblo se niegan, siguiendo un razonamiento aplastante: si les pueden poner una demanda por 500.000 euros significa que la web vale 500.000 euros. Si la multinacional quiere cerrarla, primero tendrá que comprarla. La situación rápidamente queda fuera de control; el peculiar litigio da la vuelta al mundo. (FILMAFFINITY)

"Filme da Treta" is inspired in a previous work called "Conversa da Treta", which can be translated as "Blather" or "Foolish Talk". In fact it all begun with a radio show (with that name) where two friends, "Toni" and "Zezé", talk about their lives and their neighbourhood (located somewhere in a typical district of Lisbon!). Because of the colloquial and comic language it used to be funny. Then it passed to the stage (kind of a dialog play) and later to a TV-show. As you can see it was a success here in Portugal and the audiences applauded it… Now, the film! "Filme da Treta" is, then, just an adaptation to the movies of this succeeded show, but it was, at least in my point of view, a regression! To be honest it was a disappointment, as I expected a lot more from it. I used to appreciate "Conversa da Treta", but now with the movie it lost all the fun!

En el siglo pasado, una joven campesina, Bernadette, se despierta y se siente atraída hacia una cueva. En la actualidad, Bernard Guillaumet es un joven fotógrefo que está haciendo fotografías en Lourdes. Cuando vuelve a su casa, ve que Natalie, su mujer, le ha dejado un paquete. Lo abre y ve que es un viejo manuscrito, titulado Lourdes, de su viejo bisabuelo, Henri Guillaumet, el cual conoció a Bernadette. Bernard ya conocía ese manuscrito, por su padre, pero nunca lo había leído porque él no cree en esas cosas. Cuando Bernard va a revelar las fotos ve que no hay nada. A Natalie le dan dolores de vientre. Resulta que está embarazada de dos meses y puede abortar. Bernard comienza a leer el manuscrito, que resulta ser el diario de Henri, en el que se relata el encuentro con Bernadette. Bernard decide volver a Lourdes porque su jefe le está presionando, y deja a Natalie en el hospital.
