Lourdes y José Alfredo se divorciaron hace 12 años y con el tiempo él se convirtió en amigo de Víctor, actual pareja de su ex esposa. Ellos tres han construido una relación de hermandad, complicidad y cariño. Hay fines de semana que deciden preparar una carne asada o comprar un poquito de pulque. Hay otros en los que Víctor y José Alfredo se ponen a pintar la fachada, arreglar el jardín o despurgar la bomba de agua. Mientras, Lourdes prepara agua fresca y los mira sonriente. Después los tres se sientan a platicar, a beber, a comer, a reír y en algunos momentos a llorar.
