31 de mayo de 1915. Nueve meses después del estallido de la Gran Guerra, los alemanes estaban reescribiendo las reglas del conflicto, sembrando el terror al bombardear a civiles inocentes en sus propias casas. Las calles de la ciudad se convirtieron en el nuevo frente de batalla. La carnicería fue propiciada por una nueva arma sacada de las páginas de alguna novela de ciencia ficción, un enorme dirigible denominado Zepelín. Durante dos largos años, estos monstruos llenos de gas sembraron la muerte con total impunidad. Mientras, los británicos luchaban por encontrar una forma de pararlos. Muchos recuerdos se perdieron en la niebla de la guerra, y estas grandes obras de ingeniería dejaron detrás de si muchos misterios. En este documental, distintos científicos e historiadores intentarán desvelar todos sus enigmas, sumergiéndonos en una historia explosiva repleta de bombas, balas y muerte.
