Milica Ostojic (aka Mica Trofrtaljka or Mica Davorika), a singer from Milicevci near Cacak (Serbia) by singing the song "Davorike, dajke" became a big star of new underground music in the seventies in former Yugoslavia. Forgotten for years, she returned to the scene in the film "Pretty Village, Pretty Flame", saying the historical sentence: "Shut up mate, erotica".

Momcilo 'Moca' Stojisavljevic has just finished his military service, and is faced with problems like finding a job and a place to live. His old girlfriend is now pregnant and she's about to live with him. Having managed to employ himself in a chicken production factory, Moca becomes fascinated with modern technology, automatism and cybernetics in the plant. By putting 100% of himself into all phases of work and its risks, he exposes his erogenous zones to life and its temptations.

But, his friend at home engages in a passionate love affair with his beautiful young landlady. When his friend-the traveller returns he admits he may have exaggerated about some of his adventure stories.. The two friends continue on dreaming of new excitements.

Two married couples cruise from town to town along the Adriatic coast. While men are occupied with booze and sea, their wives are more interested in the young "skipper", who seems to be a virgin. Frivolous flirting evolves into drama when one of the wives and the skipper start feeling something that appears to be love.

En esta película de corte político y de clara propaganda antistalinista tras la invasión rusa en 1968, un grupo de apasionados comunistas vagabundea por el campo difundiendo las ideas marxistas. Este film tuvo problemas con la censura, justamente porque “una gran parte de público, inocentemente, no se dio cuenta de que los monólogos a modo de eslogan de la mujer que lidera el grupo se habían tomado al pie de la letra de las apasionadas cartas de Marx a Arnold Ruge de 1843 (publicadas con el mismo título que la película), y de fuentes como el Manifiesto comunista”.
