Encontrándose en grandes dificultadas económicas, un viejo noble irlandés se ve obligado a vender parte de su cuadra a un americano que se lleva también a su mejor jinete. Durante una carrera el jinete sufre un accidente, y allí se reune con él su antiguo patrón, llevando asimismo a su hija y una yegua. Para resolver los problemas de la cuadra, inscriben a la yegua en una carrera importante (la montará la muchacha) y ganan el primer premio. Así pueden retornar los cuatro a Irlanda.

Calvin hands in his resignation.

John Shefford is looking for his uncle Venters who years ago found a hidden valley and lived there with Jane Withersteen and young Fay Larkin. He finds Kay, now grown, who tells John that Willets and his men got into the nearly inaccessible valley and she has agreed to marry him to save the lives of the other two. John and Fay head for the valley with Willets and with his men right behind.

Cowboy Phil Stone gets a job as foreman on a ranch owned by pretty young Isabel Hastings. He discovers that ruthless rancher Jeff Kopp has a claim on Isabel's ranch, and that if she dies unmarried before she turns 21, Kopp will get her ranch. When Isabel turns down a marriage proposal by Kopp's son Rudy, Kopp decides to kill her and get the ranch for himself, and hires a notorious killer, "Cyclops", to do the deed.

Left in the care of his half-breed brother, Buck, by his dying mother, Wallace Layson has no knowledge of his family history. His father, knowing that his son will inherit a ranch on his 21st birthday, tries to secure the property for himself by persuading a dance hall girl to come between the boy and his fiancée. When Buck learns of the plan he decides to foil it without his half-brother knowing.
