Es el final de un largo y frío invierno ártico. Dos cachorros de oso polar salen por primera vez al exterior para encontrarse un mágico mundo de hielo y nieve. Para los oseznos todo parece una aventura extraordinaria pero para poder sobrevivir tendrán que recorrer más de 600 kilómetros hacia el norte. Habrá momentos de diversión y descubrimiento donde podrán conocer a nuevas y extrañas criaturas como los zorros árticos y las morsas. Pero cuando la primavera da paso al verano comienza una carrera contra reloj en la que la familia de osos deberá enfrentarse a numerosos peligros: el receso del hielo, amenazantes machos, ventiscas de nieve...-Y cuando el breve verano ártico llegue a su fin, los tres deberán emprender el regreso a casa, al lugar donde nacieron los oseznos.
