After a bad breakup, a young woman returns to her hometown and opens a menuless restaurant. A young woman in her mid 20's becomes so heart broken she loses her voice. To recover, the woman decides to go back to her hometown and stay with her free-spirited mother whom she has not been very close to in the past. The young woman then decides to open a restaurant which accepts only one customer a day, allowing for thoughtful preparation for that customer.

Ume y Kame son dos hermanas ya viejas que han vivido toda la vida en la misma casa. Su día a día consiste en levantarse, desayunar y salir por el vecindario a buscar objetos peculiares en papeleras y contenedores, que acumulan y catalogan ordenadamente dentro de la casa. Un día se encuentran una cesta con ovillos de lana roja que las maravilla y se los llevan a casa sin darse cuenta de que con ellos también se llevan otra cosa muy especial. (

A woman gazes at the television while she irons as she falls in love with a murderer in the news. A young woman living in a dilapidated flat falls in love with a man who is wanted for the murder of a college girl and is reported on the news every day. She scraps his press photos and talks to his wanted posters on the street. But her secret happiness is short-lived, and the day comes when the man is arrested, despite her pleas for him to run away. She cries as she listens to the news, and when the wind blows in her room, all that is left is... A sad and fantastic love story, with a surprising twist at the end. The iron that the woman keeps in her room, the laundry, is a symbol of her feelings for the man, but because it is white in colour, the more it increases, the purer the effect of her feelings becomes.
