Un viernes por la noche en la ciudad de México, justo como sucedería en un viernes cualquiera, tres amigos: Juan, Rodrigo y Cristian, todos ellos estudiantes universitarios y de clase alta, se reúnen con otros tantos de sus conocidos para divertirse y pasar un buen rato celebrando en Plaza Garibaldi. Después de oír la música de los tradicionales mariachis del lugar y tomarse un par de rondas de tragos para amenizar aún más la velada, cada uno de ellos toma su camino y lo que el destino les tiene preparado podría poner su mundo de cabeza.

After that, they spend two days looking for each other, trying to recover their stuff. In the meantime, Juan reads Pilar's diary and she listens to his thoughts recorded on tape. Love begins to grow between these two proper strangers.
