An extraordinary black comedy that explores the limits of survival and absurdist political power games. The story takes place in times of elections in Mexico. A candidate for Governor runs over a pregnant migrant. After the accident, and to avoid a possible scandal, he hides her in a building he owns. Pressured by his political boss and so as not to ruin his political career, the candidate evicts the migrant. In a non-realistic style, the film focuses on the stories that surround the migrant during her search for a room. A radical film, with a critical gaze, that reflects the spirit of contemporary Mexican society.

Aurelio vuelve a su pueblo tras cumplir una condena por vengar la violación de su amada Paloma a manos de Julio González. Al llegar se entera de que su madre ha muerto y que Paloma vive exiliada del pueblo con su hijo, fruto de la violación. Aurelio busca casarse con Paloma y olvidar el pasado, pero el malvado Julio y su hermano Ramiro no están dispuestos a dejarlos en paz.

A Mexican film noir revolving around a crime: the suicide of one of Diana (María Félix)'s lovers and the disposal of his body in order to avoid a scandal. Diana not only engineers the entire scheme, but drafts her two other suitors: her fiance Adolfo (Julio Villareal) and his nephew Miguel (Luis Aldas).
