Juega con el Director de la Policía, dejando pistas orientadas para hacer su juego del gato y el ratón más peligroso e íntimo. En esta historia de persecución, Neruda identifica sus propias posibilidades heroicas: la oportunidad de convertirse tanto en símbolo de la libertad como en una leyenda literaria.
