El cadáver carbonizado de una mujer es encontrado en una zona industrial. El servicio de seguridad sueco, a cargo de la investigación, sospecha que el detective Gunvald Larssib está involucrado en el asesinato.

Una periodista investiga la explosión del estadio olímpico de Estocolmo, que le costó la vida a la mujer que estaba al frente del proyecto. Cuando averigua que el atentado fue fruto de una venganza personal, se pone en la línea de fuego tanto de sus colegas como de la policía.

Rolf lived his whole life for his TV-show. He's neglected the people close to him year after year; he never seemed to have any time left over for his wife, his kids or his friends. One day Rolf learns that the TV-network that he so devotedly worked for is now aiming for a younger audience and his show is terminated. His life crumbles. A few conscripts realise that the army has vast resources that don't get used as much as they could. Using army material, they start to do services for people in the neighbourhood. More and more money is exchanged, more and more people gets involved, but when will someone reveal the truth to someoney who they can't pay?

Ömer lives with his family in a suburb of Stockholm. One of his sons, Kemal, respect his father's strict authoritarian and traditional Muslim values. The other Metin wants to live for more liberal norms. A conflict between the two brothers arise.

Reine is supposed to go to a summer camp called Children's Island but decides to remain in Stockholm over the summer while his mother is working at a hospital. She thinks he is at the camp, and he tells her he is. We then follow him around Stockholm that summer and see what he encounters on the path of life.
