Es verano en un pequeño pueblo del sureste de España. Una tormenta amenaza con volver a desbordar el río que lo atraviesa. Una vieja creencia popular afirma que algunas mujeres están predestinadas a desaparecer con cada nueva inundación porque tienen "el agua adentro". Ana (Luna Pamies) vive con su madre (Bárbara Lennie) y con su abuela (Nieve de Medina) en una casa a la que el resto del pueblo mira con suspicacia. En medio de la atmósfera eléctrica que precede a la lluvia, Ana conoce a José (Alberto Olmo) a la vez que lucha por aventar a los fantasmas.

Every morning Krilli prepares the myriad ingredients required to make the lobster soup at the Bryggjan café, a tiny eatery in Iceland’s dullest town. His wife helps him in the kitchen and yearns to return to Rejkyavik. In the café, Krilli’s brother Alli sits with the old fishermen, the last boxer in Iceland and the translator of Don Quixote into Icelandic. Every day they find a new answer to the world’s problems. Once a month the neighbours meet at the Bryggjan café to remember those who died in Grindavik and pronounce their names. Four crazy musicians play jazz. A few lost tourists turn up at the fishing harbour and are captivated by the atmosphere in the café. Real people, they think. A real place. On the other side of the mountain is the Blue Lagoon, the island’s great attraction. People from all over the world come in fascination to see the volcanoes, the ice and the genesis of the Earth.

Una pareja de bailarines aparece una mañana en el aula de un instituto. Es lunes y anuncian a un grupo de adolescentes que tienen cinco días para subirse a un escenario y bailar. Una semana para cambiar las cosas. Un pequeño plazo pero un gran reto: mover a las personas cuando el mundo nos paraliza. La danza obliga a esos jóvenes a romper sus roles justo en el momento de sus vidas en el que los roles sociales se están forjando. El líder deja de ser el más admirado, el tímido da un paso adelante... Bailar les obliga a tocarse. Se comunican, se igualan. Alguno no se liberará hasta el último instante. Wilfried Van Poppel y Amaya Lubeigt son los coreógrafos. Él holandés, ella vasca. La danza es el lenguaje común. No importa el lugar.
