"DE LAMPERTSBIERG is a documentary series about Limpertsberg, a district of the city of Luxembourg. It was researched and directed by Joy Hoffmann, with the support of the "Amis de l'histoire du Limpertsberg". The film is produced by the "Centre national de l'audiovisuel" (CNA). The film is presented as a series of six episodes, each lasting approximately 35 minutes. The film is based on interviews with local personalities, archive footage from the CNA and RTL, newly shot footage as well as photos and documents from Luxembourg archives and private collections. "De Lampertsbierg" is a personal look at the neighbourhood by the director who has spent his whole life there. The series describes specific aspects of the district, but also reflects 150 years of history of the city of Luxembourg, if not the whole country.

Police officer Tom Faber was found shot to death in his car behind the stadium. Inspector Hastert (André Jung) from the criminal police leads the investigation and searches for the murderer together with Olivier (Jules Werner), the brother of the murdered man, who is also a police officer. After an initial clue that led to the drug milieu, a prostitute appears who is said to be in a relationship with Tom and who has given him a key to a place where something important is hidden. It turns out that in a locker in the sacristy of the National Library is a file with documents that indicate Tom was on the trail of an influential businessman's sordid dealings before his death. But Olivier still doesn't see what lies behind the dead end of the investigation...

No había otras limitaciones, de modo que los autores tenían plena libertad para expresarse. Entre los directores figuran tanto nombres consagrados como voces nuevas dentro del panorama cinematográfico. Cada corto tiene su propia identidad, por lo que es posible establecer comparaciones fascinantes; pero, además, juntos ofrecen una imagen global de la Comunidad Europea a través de la fusión de esas distintas visiones conceptuales y creativas.

Delft, Holanda, 1665. La joven Griet entra a servir en casa de Johannes Vermeer que, consciente de la intuición de la joven para la luz y el color, irá introduciéndola poco a poco en el misterioso mundo de su pintura. Por otro lado, Maria Thins, la suegra de Vermeer, al ver que Griet se ha convertido en la musa del pintor, decide no inmiscuirse en su relación con la esperanza de que su yerno pinte más cuadros. Griet se enamora cada vez más de Vermeer, aunque no está segura de cuáles son los sentimientos del pintor hacia ella. Finalmente, el maquiavélico Van Ruijven, consciente del grado de intimidad de la pareja, se las ingenia para que Vermeer reciba el encargo de pintar a Griet sola. El resultado será una magnífica obra de arte, pero, ¿qué precio deberá pagar Griet?
