Uno de mis más preciados elementos patrimoniales -al menos en términos de valor sentimental- es un VHS original de “La Señora Doubtfire”. Sí, puede que debiera visitar a un psicoanalista, o tomarme unas prolongadas vacaciones. Pero el caso es que si hacemos caso al proverbio “mal de muchos, consuelo de tontos”, el tonto que les habla ha encontrado en “Rewind This!”, un redentor oasis documental. Con constantes referencias visuales al VHS, “Rewind This!” es un exhaustivo, instructivo, nostálgico y divertido repaso a la historia del vídeo. Y a la influencia que éste tuvo sobre el proceso productivo cinematográfico. Lástima que su ritmo narrativo -demasiado vivaz-, dificulte la absorción de buena parte de la información transmitida.

La idea no puede ser más simple: a cada cineasta se la adjudica una letra, y se le da total libertad para crear un cortometraje en el que la muerte juegue un papel destacado. De esta manera, se construye una antología de cadáveres exquisitos que supone, sin ninguna duda, uno de los proyectos más ambiciosos que el género ha conocido en toda su historia cinematográfica (no en vano, la producción ha atravesado quince países diferentes). El objetivo: ofrecer una panorámica ora divertida, ora siniestra, que sirva para definir todo aquello que le ha ocurrido al terror en los últimos diez años.

The segment begins with a group of boys who are making home videos with a camera attached to their pet dog. Throughout the segment, the resident family is shown to live on an open property with a barn, all of which is close to a large lake. The mother and father of the sister and one of the boys, Gary, are shown leaving for a vacation. Shortly after their departure, the sister is shown arriving with her boyfriend and their friends. The brother and his friends plot to disrupt the sister's company with an assortment of water guns and water-filled balloons.

"Planet Terror", dirigida por Rodríguez, se trata de una película de zombies.
