S. N. Vasanth is an Indian actor who acts mostly in Tamil films and Soap Operas. The actor was introduced into the Tamil film world by director Bharathirajaa in the hit film "Mella Pesungal". The title of the film became a prefix to his name and he was affectionately called as "Mella Pesungal Vasanth" in the Industry.Vasanth was the president of the 'Chinnathirai Nadigar Sangam' for a considerable period of time.
Manohar, along with his family, moves into a new apartment on the 13th floor. However, their peace is disturbed by a spirit that uses the television set as a medium to communicate with them.
Ramesh
Siva is an honest police officer who was brought up by the judge Sathyamoorthy, when his mother died. Sathyamoorthy has two sons : Aravind and Raja. The influential smuggler Mudaliar often clashes with Siva and Sathyamoorthy. Siva and the jolly college student Priya fall in love with each other, later they get married with Sathyamoorthy's blessing. One day, Raja rapes Mudaliar's daughter. The next day, Raja is found dead and Siva conducts the investigation. Ramesh admits to his father Sathyamoorthy that he killed his younger Raja. Sathyamoorthy decides to protect Ramesh at all costs while Siva wants to send Ramesh to jail. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.

The movie shows a true to life story related to a common run Indian family, where the esteem of a family is held in high regard. The story is an exemplary portrayal of the liabilities of a responsible father, obligations of a dutiful son, role of a virtuous wife and harmony in the family unified by psychological bonds.

Priya , a rich girl, is in love with Sundar, a poor youth. Priya tries to elope with him but she fails and her father and her mother lock her in her bedroom. From there, Priya witnesses the murder of Shanthi by her husband Sabapathy in the opposite building. She takes photos of this murder and Sabapathy notices this act. Gopi, Shanthi's brother, only knows that his brother-in-law tortured his sister for a long time. He is the only one who suspects Sabapathy whereas their relatives considers him as a perfect gentleman. Gopi files a complaint secretly against Sabapathy. However, Sarath, an honest police officer, gives up the case due to the lack of evidence. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.
Chellappa (Jayaram), an orphan, runs a photo studio in deficit with his friends (Chinni Jayanth and Vadivelu). Mary (Bhanupriya) comes to his village to learn singing to a guru (Kalyan Kumar) and she helps her guru's family in many ways. Kannan (Arjun Sarja), her guru's son, is supposed to be in the city. Chellappa falls in love with Mary and he proposes to marry her. Mary reveals that she was married and she tells him her past. Her real name was Gayatri, she was a rich girl and she was in love with Kannan. Kannan had lot of responsibility and had to help his poor family. Gayatri's guardian (Jaishankar) accepted for their marriage but Vasanth (S. N. Vasanth), his son, also wanted to marry her and sent henchmen to kill him. Kannan died at Gayatri's birthday party where her guardian had arranged for their engagement after Gayatri promised to help his family. Vasanth's father sent his son to jail and he apologized to Gayatri. She went to her friend Mary's village instead of her.
Gupta
Nachiappan College is considered to be one of the worst college of Chennai; everyday violence erupts between two final-year groups. The students are influenced by the local bigwig Beeda Settu, who sells ganja to the students and basically rules the college from outside. The first group is led by Sudhakar whereas the other one is led by Kalaiarasan. The college management and the police get tired of that situation. They decide that they need to change the principal. The vice-president, Chandran, dies to sit in that post but the college management asks the successful Shanmugasundaram to take the post. His daughter Shobana will study in the same college. The rest of the story is how Shanmugasundaram succeeds in his mission.
Sivaraman helps Rangan out of the goodness of his heart. When the latter's con gets him in trouble, Raja, Rangan's son, decides to teach his father a lesson.
