Cuenta la historia de dos jóvenes hermano y hermana que tienen que soportar las dificultades insondables en su lucha por permanecer juntos. Inicialmente, los hermanos viven una vida idílica con su madre en una cabaña rústica en una remota región montañosa. Pero cuando su madre muere, quedan a su suerte. Temiendo la posibilidad de ser separados, ya que ninguno de ellos es mayor de edad, deciden enterrar a su madre sin notificar a las autoridades quedando así a merced de la naturaleza y sus vecinos de la aldea. Cuando la hermana es asaltada violentamente, los hermanos se ven obligados a crecer rápidamente con el fin de sobrevivir y permanecer juntos.
