Desde 1963, sus preguntas y descubrimientos han producido innumerables beneficios, resultantes en aplicaciones en medicina, biología e inmunología, constituyendo grandes avances en el conocimiento científico básico. César Milstein, un gran científico, al cual sus colegas lo describen como buen compañero, trabajador y tenaz. Su mayor certeza fue que, sin aventura, no habría ciencia.
