Kenga, una gaviota envenenada por una mancha de petróleo, consigue justo antes de morir confiar su huevo al gato Zorbas, obteniendo de él tres promesas: no comerse el huevo, cuidar de él hasta que se abra y enseñar a volar al recién nacido. La gaviota huérfana es bautizada con el nombre de Afortunada por toda la comunidad de los gatos, que se ha visto involucrada por Zorbas en la tarea de criar a esta insólita hija. La pequeña Afortunada, deberá aprender a conocerse y comprender que no es un gato antes de poder aprender a volar. Mientras, deberá combatir al lado de sus amigos felinos para impedir la llegada del Gran Ratón que, junto con una horda de ratones, espera en las alcantarillas la ocasión para tomar el poder de la ciudad.

Luna is an endearingly prudish teacher in Milan, who lives with her grumpy father. Often teased by students and co-workers alike, her only ally is the janitor, Angelo, who harbors a secret crush on Luna. When a carnival comes to town, Luna meets a man who possesses a magic lamp, which he uses to free her "shadow self." This doppelganger is Luna's polar opposite, whose presence poses both a problem and an opportunity for Luna.

Director Maurizio Nichetti is invited on TV to introduce a screening of his neo-realist classic 'The Icicle Thief'. He is horrified to discover that his black-and-white tale of life in poverty is constantly interrupted by garish color commercials, and even more horrified when a power cut in the studio causes film and commercials to mix up – a glamorous model finds herself in the arms of an unemployed pauper, while his wife finds herself in consumers' heaven. Nichetti has to break into the film to try to sort everything out.
The Prima Donna
Eric Fane (Richard Barthelmess) is a composer unwilling to compromise his dream for a steady job back home in the United States. After his studies in Italy, he moves to Paris, where he is forced to write popular songs for money when he stops receiving support from his father. He tires of selling out and, after an encounter with the mob, starts to travel. He begins a madcap journey from Paris to Port Said, Egypt, and to the South Seas, where he believes he has found love with Teita (Bessie Love).
