‘Donde acaba la memoria’ recorre Las Hurdes y la Residencia de Estudiantes para construir el retrato de Ian Gibson, autor de las biografías de Buñuel, Dalí y Lorca. El viaje finaliza en Granada, donde, tras una búsqueda de 50 años, Gibson está más cerca que nunca de encontrar los restos de Lorca como símbolo de reconciliación de un país que se resiste a hacer las paces con su pasado.

Carmen vive con sus padres en una aldea del interior de Galicia. Tras la muerte accidental de su madre, su hermano vuelve con su mujer a la aldea para arreglar los asuntos del entierro. En esa visita y en la relación de Carmen con otros miembros del entorno se destapa un profundo arraigo cultural de funciones de género contra las que Carmen intenta revelarse como los caballos salvajes en plena "rapa das bestas".
