Historia

Possibly the only person to hold the prestigious title of London Mathematical Society Popular Lecturer while simultaneously having a sold-out comedy show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Matt is always keen to mix his two passions of mathematics and stand-up. Matt Parker appears regularly to talk about maths on the radio and TV (Discovery's You Have Been Warned, James May's Things You Need to Know, Channel 4's Mating Season) as well as being all over the internet. You Can't Polish A Nerd
himself
Fresh from their latest UK tour, Matt Parker, Steve Mould and Helen Arney have created yet another comedy spectacular for digital download. Packed full of science, songs and spherical geometry, the intrepid trio go further than ever to celebrate nerdiness in all its raw and unpolished glory. You Can’t Polish A Nerd is the third show from science comedy phenomenon Festival of the Spoken Nerd. It’s here to put the “ooh” into zoology, the “fun” into fundamental theorem of calculus and the “recursion” into recursion, creating the ultimate in audio-visual entertainment for nerds and non-nerds.

Himself
Festival of the Spoken Nerd are the science comedy phenomenon that will feed your brain, tickle your ribs and light your Bunsen burner. Full Frontal Nerdity guaranteed! Stand-up mathematician Matt Parker (Discovery Channel You Have Been Warned), experiments maestro Steve Mould (ITV1 I Never Knew That About Britain) and geek songstress Helen Arney (BBC2 Coast) mix astonishing science with statistically significant comedy, plus experiments that electrify their audiences – sometimes literally.
