Vera and Zak meet by chance and it's crazy love. The two lovebirds settle in a decayed house at the end of a row, where little Yanna comes into the world. They raise their child in a spirit of total freedom, without constraint. Zak often leaves his family to find his family, gypsies who do not like him to meet a woman from the city. When Vera's parents arrive unexpectedly at home, they will jeopardize the already fragile balance of the trio.

My Guys is a light-hearted comedy revolving around the trials and tribulations of Georgette and her entourage of gay men. This twenty-nine year old, full figured waitress is rather content with her lot until an unwelcomed guest blows her little world to pieces. Enter Janine Theresa Douglas directly from the pages of a fashion magazine. She is tall, skinny and loves to drink...the ideal woman! And she wants Georgette's guys, but Georgette doesn't take the challenge lying down. She hatches a plan to rid herself of this interloper, but the outcome is not necessarily the one Georgette had anticipated.

La película tuvo su polémica al tratar el tema del terrorismo de forma apocalíptica cuando todavía estaba reciente el recuerdo del 11-S. Además, en la novela de Tom Clancy los terroristas eran fanáticos musulmanes, pero los productores decidieron "sustituirlos" por terroristas neonazis en la adaptación cinematográfica.
