Richard, a sparrow who was adopted by a stork family, is wintering at the Great Lake in Northern Africa. When he realises that he won’t be the one to lead his flock back North, Richard decides to fly away to travel on his own and crosses paths with Samia and her sparrow flock, who are being held captive by evil marabous under the control of the greedy peacock Zamano. The only chance of freedom for the sparrows is to solve a riddle and find the Great Jewel, which will call upon teamwork, trust and most of all- spork (sparrow + stork) skills.

Inspired by Søren Ulrik Thomsen's poem "The trees do not grow into the sky", the film thematizes emotions by embracing South Jutland's (Denmark) violent history, and the belief in peaceful coexistence and reconciliation across borders, nationalities and histories.

Entre ellos encontramos a un bromista y arrogante ratón, una elefanta adolescente que tiene pánico escénico, una cerda que padece estrés debido a su camada de 25 lechones, un joven gorila proveniente de una familia de gánsteres y una puercoespín que tiene su propia banda de rock alternativo.

A partir de los restos de comida que caían del cielo se han creado bestias mutantes de todo tipo (cocodrilos, arañas, chimpacés…) que ponen en peligro la seguridad de los humanos.
