His persona earned him a place in Punk history when the Ramones recorded "Pinhead," dolls and jewelry were created in his image, and "American Horror Story: Freakshow" paid homage to him. According to sideshow lore, Schlitzie was one of the most beloved performers.

Surprisingly, all-purpose PRC villain George Cheseboro isn't the culprit in this one; instead, he's cast as the father of heroine Jennifer Holt. Roscoe Ates is once more on hand for some questionable comedy relief.

When the outlaws murder Tennessee, Eddie and Soapy, along with the reformed Tucson, swing into action.

The drought-plagued ranchers of Sundown have to market their cattle at a loss in order to meet mortgage payments held by banker Cylus Cuttler. Then, Sheriff Tex Rockett is forced to quarantine all the cattle on the local ranches because of a hoof-and-mouth disease outbreak. Steve Davis herds his cattle to the railhead anyway, and Tex is forced to arrest him. Urged on by the banker's son, Nick Cuttler, the angry ranchers storm the jail, but Steve's sister Bee persuades them to await the trial. Steve, with Nick's help, breaks jail and is told he must kill Tex to aid the ranchers. Meanwhile, government man Bret Stockton and Tex see Nick and his men treating cattle in an unusual way. Tex finally proves that the Cuttlers have been treating the cattle with acid to give a false impression of the hoof-and-mouth disease.

Primer film sonoro de Murnau (y último de ficción). Durante su producción y rodaje (en tierras americanas, donde había realizado ya la obra maestra "Sunrise"), surgieron importantes divergencias del director alemán con el dueño de la Fox, William Fox. La más importante fue la imposición de ser un film hablado (Murnau comenzó la película siendo muda), dado el fulgurante éxito del cine sonoro, así como la incapacidad del estudio por conseguir a la estrella Janet Gaynor (protagonista de "Amanecer"). Murnau, desencantado, decidió una vez acabada la película asociarse con el documentalista Robert J. Flaherty, para rodar "Tabu" sin ningún tipo de imposición de los estudios. "El pan nuestro de cada día" está basada en la obra "The Mad Turtle", de Elliott Lester, y narra la historia de un joven de Minnesota que va a Chicago y se enamora.
