Elena, una chica griega joven y cualificada, pero con pocas perspectivas de futuro en su país natal, decide marcharse a Frankfurt en busca de una vida mejor. Allí empieza a trabajar de niñera para Tessa, una directiva de éxito que intenta encontrar el equilibrio entre su reciente maternidad y su carrera profesional. It is a movie following the coming-of-age for a boy; the story begins in the mid-60s, continues all through the 70s, and finishes in 1981. He is a creative young man facing the troubles of the first pangs of love and we observe the way he tries to handle them within his social surroundings, his family, and environment.
Trying to overcome his childhood injuries, Christos-Raphael resorts to various solutions. He does group self-improvement exercises, buys his favorite car, builds the house of his dreams, with hidden lighting and a bathroom for the guests. But when the right time comes, he understands how he becomes himself, all that he hid so desperately under the carpet for so many years.
