After a young girl is accidently infected with an alien substance known as "Deep Red", the astonishing results attract the attention of the illustrious scientist Dr. Newmeyer. Disillusioned security expert Joe Keyes must team up with his estranged wife to protect the girl and her mother from the obsessed scientist who will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

In the year 2007, crime has risen at an exponential rate. Once highly populated metropolises such as Los Angeles are no longer inhabitable. These cities have transformed into "Hell Zones," ruled by violent street gangs. The Hell Zone, formerly called the "Zone of Personal Freedom," is a safe-haven for criminal warpaths everywhere. This Hell Zone in LA is controlled by a criminal mastermind named Drexal (Joseph Ruskin). For the sake of entertaining his crowds of decadent losers and underlings, Drexal has staged a series of lethal, no-holds-barred matches in the "Death Ring," where the winner takes all of the glory...while the defeated one shall lose his self-respect (or maybe just his head). Meanwhile, two brave cops, Braniff (Chad McQueen), and Sledge (Gary Daniels) must risk their badges...and their lives when they enter Los Angeles's "Hell Zone."

Renegado ha estado viviendo una vida fácil, viajando a través del sudoeste con su caballo Joe, ganando dinero mediante la ejecución de estafas de poca monta. Un matrimonio al que acompaña su hijo, se encuentran tranquilamente en el comedor de un restaurante próximo a una reserva de indios. Alli haran acto de presencia cuatro individuos de siniestra catadura cuya unica actividad consiste en molestar al pacífico grupo familiar, principalmente a la mujer. Tratando de evitar un absurdo y peligroso enfrentamiento con los malhechores los padres y el chico optan por abandonar el local. En ese momento un desconocido personaje que acaba de hacer su entrada en el local, no duda en enfrentarse a los cuatro forajidos, entablandose una violenta lucha entre todos ellos.
