A baleful limping man walks through Prague. He is Asmodeus (Juraj Herz), the fiend of lustfulness, entertaining himself by putting together by magic couples of lovers. He only fails at the swimming pool. Zuzana (Jana Sulcová), the good-looking blonde, ignores the men whom the devil foists off onto her. She loves Honza (Václav Neckár) and the boy shares her feelings. The fiend is annoyed by the couple and tries to provoke a row. He sends heavy rain to force them into a hotel and then warns Zuzana's father by phone, but the young lovers manage to get out in time. Then the obstinate Asmodeus takes Honza in his sleep to the Institute for Emotional Disorders, where he shows him the ugly sides of love - hysteria, voyeurism, fetishism, suicide attempts...

The exemplary accountant Antonín Safránek lives his orderly life as a citizen of a small town. His wife Eliska brings up their three children and desperately tries to get by on her husband's low salary every month. At the same time, she sadly watches the luxurious life of their neighbor and other people like him who have no qualms about improving their standard of living by cheating. One day, the infallible Safránek makes a mistake in the cash clearance and there are nine one-hundred Crown bills left in the safe. An unexpected company control carried out the next day passes without problems and the account is closed. The temptation is too strong. The insufficient control enables Safránek to gradually steal one million Crowns.

Three short story omnibus. The main hero and connecting link is Lieutenant Boruvka, created by Lubomír Lipsky. He deals with the murder case between climbers, the death of the dancer in the music theater and the strange disappearance of the mathematics professor.

En una tienda de comestibles en Praga, Alena, una atractiva joven, tiene una aventura con Vorell, el gerente de la tienda, un hombre casado. Aunque es plenamente consciente de que Vorell es un sinvergüenza que ha estado robando licor de la tienda, la necesidad física de Alena por él es tan grande que no puede romper su relación. Al llevar a cabo un inventario, se descubre que 80 botellas de brandy contienen té. Cuando los dos auditores de la compañía, Kurka y Bazant, interrogan a los empleados, Alena sale corriendo de la tienda, presa del pánico. Anton Brtko es un humilde carpintero que trata de vivir con placidez en una pequeña ciudad eslovaca durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Aunque observa con ironía y desprecio a los seguidores nazis que tratan de imponer su disciplina sobre la comunidad, la presión de su esposa Evelyn y su cuñado Markus, un caudillo fascista local, no deja de poner trabas a su tranquilidad. Cuando Markus le ofrece hacerse cargo, en calidad de ario, de la mercería de la anciana Sra. Lautmann, su vida queda trastocada. Mientras Evelyn se ilusiona con la idea de enriquecerse, Tono intenta hacer entender a la Sra. Lautmann que queda relegada del negocio por ser judía, pero no sólo le resulta imposible a causa de la sordera de la mujer, sino que además entre ambos surge una relación de ternura y comprensión mutua. Las situaciones cómicas en la tienda se suceden mientras la fiebre antisemita se va intensificando en el exterior.

In a wooden hut used as a canvassing center, members of a children's puppet-theatre group are rehearsing for a production about a journey to the Moon. The goings-on inside the hut and outside are being closely followed by amateur detective Pepik Barnabás. He, however, is the first to be under suspicion when a trunk containing puppets goes missing. The children follow him but, when they catch up with him, they discover he hasn't got it. Pepík offers to help them in their search.

In the beginning, the book of Bohumil Říha was about the aircraft of Kaneti. Both the book and the film that came out of it tell about children's parties spending their holidays near the sports airport. The newly scanned airplane first assigns to aliens, then suspects them of espionage, but in the end it will explain everything. Children will even find the courage to take part in an aviation trip. According to period reviews, the film was a bad thing to teachers, as they said it was inappropriate.
