Cuando se encuentra a un trabajador asesinado en el lado de la construcción, la investigación cambia rápidamente de lo criminal a las circunstancias políticas que rodean al edificio en sí. Se considera que la corrupción generalizada y la negligencia del propio constructor han provocado la situación. Gran parte de la película está filmada con cámaras de mano, y la mayor parte del diálogo está en el dialecto español difícil de entender y muy vulgar de los albañiles de la Ciudad de México.

La operación deja a Cuéllar sin pene pero con testículos. Aunque sus amigos prometen guardar el secreto, todos se enteran de lo ocurrido. Años después esa situación le crea grandes problemas que van afectando su estabilidad emocional.
Story
Tancredo, a poor man, is in love with a rich girl, who does not return his feelings. One day when she is bathing in a river, a flood sweeps her away and Tancredo is unable to save her. Mad with grief, he steals the sun. The gods call Apolinar to restore light to the earth, but he is obstructed by the magician of darkness, until by means of a telescope he is able to send a bag of light to Tancredo, now grown old. Tancredo goes to the seashore and opens the bag of light as an offering to his beloved, whereupon the sun returns to the earth.
