Un alto el fuego temporal trae una tranquilidad necesaria a un pueblo al norte de Nepal devastado por la guerra. Allí viven Prakash y Kiran, dos amigos inseparables a pesar de estar divididos por casta y credo social. Juntos comienzan a criar una gallina con el objetivo de vender sus huevos, pero esta desaparece y ambos se embarcan en un viaje para encontrarla sin darse cuenta de los peligros que puede suponer la frágil tregua que atraviesa la guerra civil.
