Kate (Tricia Helfer), una ejecutiva de cuentas, se dirige a Cancún con su novio Eric para tener unas merecidas vacaciones. A su llegada, Eric descubre que un reconocido agente inmobiliario se encuentra en su mismo resort. Sin perder la oportunidad de crear un nuevo acuerdo de negocios, deja a Kate a su suerte mientras persigue dicho acuerdo. Shep (Paul Campbell), el director de actividades del hotel, es un viejo amigo de Kate, que se convertirá en un consejero que estará más que dispuesto a ayudarla.
