When filmmaker Karima Saïdi’s mother Aïcha develops Alzheimer’s at the end of her life, Karima decides to make a film portrait of her at her Brussels care home. Before oblivion descends for good. Aïcha is becoming increasingly confused, and Karima takes her on mental journey back into her past. The filmmaker uses Aïcha’s stories and a wide range of family archive material to create an impression of Aïcha’s life. We start with her youth in Morocco, are shown how her husband brought her from Tangiers to Belgium, and how she later went on to raise her children as a single mother.

In 1975, 10-year-old Amar lives in a village in northern Morocco with his violent uncle, waiting for the unlikely return of his mother, who has left for Belgium. He finds a friend in Carmen, his neighbor, who is a Spanish exile and who works as an usher at the village cinema. Carmen helps him discover a world previously unknown to him.

George, Max y Ricky tienen un grupo. Como tantos otros músicos, deben compaginar su pasión con otro trabajo que les permita pagar el alquiler. Hacer de cocineros en un centro psiquiátrico de máxima seguridad no parecía mala idea: podían trabajar juntos, les dejaba tiempo para ensayar y la seguridad del centro aseguraba el mínimo contacto con los internos... Hasta que, una noche, una fuerte tormenta deja sin electricidad el edificio, desactivando todos los dispositivos de seguridad. Los tres amigos se verán atrapados en la cocina, sin barreras que los separen de los perturbados, convertidos ahora en una turba descontrolada y violenta.
