On the verge of depression following the murder of his father, Cory, a nervous, guilt-ridden 12-year-old "altar boy", is coaxed by his adventurous best friend, Ben, to prove their manhood by embarking on their first overnight fishing trip out in the wild on the Mississippi Bayou's Wolf River; but their trip goes awry when the hapless "altar boys" become targets of a mob hit in progress by a cold-blooded assassin who is determined to collect on a gambling debt.
Fresh off of being dumped by his girlfriend, Tracy meets Madeline coming off of a bad, and bloody, breakup of her own. The laughs and bodies pile up as Tracy's friends watch in horror while she leads him down the aisle one emasculated step at a time. Madeline will stop at nothing to get what she wants: the perfect wedding. And no amount of beer, booze, or strippers is going to stop her from becoming a bride again.
Segunda Guerra Mundial, isla de Guadalcanal, 1942.
