In a violent city where a man succumbs to the loneliness and delirium of his unfulfilled desires. He wishes to belong somewhere. And the only way to achieve this goal is projecting in his own mind another version of himself, a "second man", someone -who will be accepted.

Jorge Alís, un artista argentino, cuenta como su búsqueda de éxito en la vida lo lleva a estar colgado al borde del abismo. Su familia y la constante crisis argentina lo hacen tomar la decisión de emigrar a Chile. Pese a la hostilidad que encuentra, gracias a su desfachatez, logra establecerse, conquistar al amor de su vida y armar una familia. Pero todo se complica. Las deudas, la burocracia y la misma desfachatez que antes lo había ayudado, hacen que lo que construyó se vaya a pique. Ahora lo único que le queda es su talento artístico, con el que intentará sacarse la soga del cuello y salvar a su familia.
